Neighborhood Framework Planning initiative to guide future development that addresses the economic and quality of life priorities of the community.
The scope of work builds upon previous resident engagement that identified the goals of inclusive growth and preservation of the community’s unique character, cultural heritage and integrity. Strategies for housing and economic development integrate large investments including Ford Motor Company’s purchase of Michigan Central Station and a federal Choice Neighborhoods Grant.
Ideas and Action provided strategic advising for affordable housing and inclusive economic development, including identification and evaluation of new development opportunities on public and private parcels.
