The evaluation of 12 city-owned sites for a range of new affordable housing options.
A direct contract with the City of Ann Arbor’s Housing Commission included the evaluation of 12 city-owned sites for a range of new affordable housing options. Ideas and Action participated in community and stakeholder engagement with AAHC to gather a range of inputs before creating financial models to assess viability of various scenarios. Ideas and Action then guided AAHC through scenario analysis for each site, investigating a variety of funding sources, ownership structures, land-tenure options, urban design elements and levels of affordability.
Ideas and Action provided financial analysis and policy advice with specific financial projections to assess timing, ownership structures, urban design elements and affordability levels for a range of sites. Follow on phases of engagement and city council resolutions for implementation of recommendations including release of a request for proposals and subsequent developer selection.
